Thanksgiving Leftovers Pizza

Thanksgiving Leftovers Pizza

Put those Thanksgiving leftovers to work! Combine all the delicious staples of a great thanksgiving dinner – turkey, stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce and mashed potatoes to create a one-of-a-kind pie that should be offered anytime of year!

Ingredients

12-inch pizza dough (parbaked crust or fresh dough)
1
Leftover gravy
1 cup
Leftover turkey
1 cup
Leftover stuffing
1/2 cup
Shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup
Cranberry relish
3 Tbsp.
Fresh parsley
optional, for garnish and color

Directions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F. If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while it preheats.
  2. Prepare the dough: Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to your desired thickness. Transfer the dough to a baking sheet or pizza stone.
  3. Pre-Bake the dough: Pre-bake crust in the oven for 5 minutes, until it begins to firm up but isn’t fully cooked.
  4. Spread a thin layer of leftover gravy over the pre-baked crust. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the spread gravy.
  5. Evenly distribute the leftover turkey pieces and crumbled leftover stuffing over the shredded cheese.
  6. Mix mashed potatoes with egg and egg yolk and place into piping back with fluted tip.
  7. Pipe fluted dollops of mashed potatoes onto pizza.
  8. Return the pizza to the oven and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and mashed potatoes are slightly browned.
  9. Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a minute. Spoon the cranberries over the top of the pizza.
  10. If desired, top the pizza with fresh parsley. Slice and serve hot.
