Savory Sting Pizza

Ingredients

12-inch pizza dough (parbaked crust or fresh dough)
1
Raw hot sausage, cooked and pinched/crumbled
8 oz.
Crumbled feta cheese
1/2 cup
Shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup
Hot honey
1/4 cup
Red pepper flakes
1 tsp.
Fresh arugula
optional, for garnish and color

Directions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 450°F. If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while it preheats.
  2. Prepare the dough: Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to your desired thickness. Transfer the dough to a baking sheet or pizza stone.
  3. Pre-Bake the dough: pre-bake it in the oven for 5 minutes, until it begins to firm up but isn’t fully cooked.
  4. Spread a thin layer of mashed potatoes over the pre-baked crust. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the mashed potatoes.
  5. Evenly distribute the cooked sausage over the mashed potatoes, followed by the crumbled feta cheese.
  6. Return the pizza to the oven and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
  7. Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a minute. Drizzle the hot honey evenly over the top of the pizza.
  8. If desired, top the pizza with fresh arugula. Slice and serve hot.
