Today, Michael Foods and Do Good Foods are excited to announce their new partnership to expand the Do Good Foods product portfolio with the launch of Do Good Eggs into foodservice. Do Good Foods is a climate-forward food solutions company that upcycles surplus grocery food into nutrient-dense animal feed by diverting unsold grocery food (after donations are made) from landfills and converts it to nutritious food for animals – in this case laying hens. Michael Foods is an ideal partner to contribute to this mission because by integrating Do Good Foods sustainable feed they are able to support the fight against climate change without having to compromise on their own nutritious and convenient egg products. For every dozen Do Good Eggs sold approximately one pound of greenhouse gas emissions (CO2e) will be prevented from entering the earth’s atmosphere. Now if that’s not doing some good, we don’t know what is. For additional information on the partnership between Michael Foods and Do Good Foods, please read the full press release here.
